3 July 2025 – The Faculty of AI and Meta Technology, Geomatika College Keningau, proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kota Kinabalu International Film Festival (KKIFF), under the Kinabalu Film Association, Sabah.

The signing ceremony took place at Sandbox, Bandaran Berjaya, Kota Kinabalu, and was also attended by representatives from the Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre (SCENIC).

KKIFF was represented by Jude Day (Festival Director), Tommy Duncan Fahir (Festival Manager), and Chris Pereira (Sabah Film Lab Coordinator).

This collaboration aims to strengthen cinematography education through film labs, workshops, and hands-on creative industry exposure.

In his remarks, a representative from Geomatika College Keningau stated:

“This partnership with KKIFF marks an important milestone for our faculty. We are committed to nurturing young talents in the field of creative technology and film studies. Through this collaboration, our students will gain invaluable exposure to real-world practices, industry networking, and innovative approaches to cinematography.”
