Programme Overview

The Diploma in Counselling is designed to equip students with the fundamental knowledge, professional skills, and ethical grounding required to become competent para-counsellors and support professionals in community, school, and social service settings. Over 2.3 years of structured academic learning and hands-on exposure, students will gain a strong foundation in psychology, counselling theories, human behaviour, multicultural awareness, ethics, and communication skills.

Through subjects such as Principles of Counselling and Guidance, Counselling Techniques, Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, and Career Guidance, learners will develop an understanding of individual and group behaviour, emotional well-being, and effective support strategies for diverse populations.
